Between A Rock And A Hard Place Hebrews 13.3

People in this place are not allowed a job and even if we were, we would not be paid for our work.  We are not allowed to run a business per Chapter 33-602.207 (F.A.C) or get any type of compensation through writings, art, etc...

We are prohibited from running ads seeking financial assistance from anyone on the street who is willing to assist us per 33-210.101 (9), so our hands are tied.  In order to take care of ourselves financially which means being able to order deodorant, soap, shampoo, stamps, writing materials, batteries and very overpriced food items by a price gouging company “Keefe Corporation,”  we have to either break the rules … or just sit back hoping and praying that some one is kind enough to send us some money.

The F.D.O.C. and Keefe are running a canteen.  We are allowed to spend up to $100.00 a week.  That's $5,200 a year with no way to financially support ourselves.  Does anyone else see a problem with this?  Most of us don't have family and friends.  We've been in here two and three decades.  Most everyone in our lives have moved on and the ones who do come into our lives usually stay around a year or two and then move on.  Once again we are left between a rock and a hard place...break the rules …or go without.

Why can't I write and say, "I need financial assistance. Anyone who would like to help me out or correspond with me, I'd be truly grateful to hear from you"?  Who is that hurting?  These Administrators claim to be Christians and yet they do not live by the word.  Does not Hebrews 13.3 read “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

Yet they want us to suffer and go without....and they call themselves Christians.  Did not Jesus teach “Love thy neighbor as thyself”.  Also see Luke 10:27.  Paul was teaching the same thing in Romans 13:9, Gal. 5:14 and James taught it in James 2:8... Do you think they would want themselves to suffer as we suffer in this cage under the sentence of death?  I think not!  If they were in here, they would take care of their own financial needs.  They would make sure they had deodorant, shampoo, etc...  They would make sure they had money to eat with.  They would make sure they received mail at mail call.

But it's one thing to love yourself...it's a whole nother ball game to show someone else equal love.  I don't understand that hypocritical mentality and I never will.

One thing is fur sure --- the F.D.O.C. enjoys seeing us suffer and go without our needs and wants.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.

Sincerely,

Ronald W. Clark, Jr.  #812974
